‘Navigating Culture’ is Accounting Industry’s Biggest Priority

2023 Winning Ways Conference tackles firms’ most urgent challenges and opportunities

The most pressing issue for firms today is implementing and nourishing a “people first” culture. And as challenging as it’s been for the profession in recent years, the pandemic exacerbated the need for firms to focus on creating, building, and sustaining a healthy, consistent culture.

The Winning Ways Conference brings to the forefront the most pressing issues confronting accounting firm leaders. In 2023, the event will highlight the need for firms to elevate the implementation of a thriving culture with which to attract, develop, and retain talent. An important challenge for today’s leaders, culture also presents an opportunity for firms to differentiate themselves.

“This conversation is critical given the challenges surrounding talent and the change and transformation taking place in the profession”, ays Allan Koltin, Chief Executive Officer of Koltin Consulting and conference co-founder. “Firms must prioritize people as flexibility is not going away and success is grounded in the culture our firms adopt going forward.”

“The modern accounting firm must adopt a culture for the future and not embrace a century of ego and power,” adds Gary Shamis, Chief Executive Officer of Winding River Consulting and conference co-founder. “Knowing how to establish a ‘Great Place to Work’ culture will give firms a competitive edge and make them more desirable to talent.”

In addition to Gary Shamis and Allan Koltin, confirmed speakers include Bill Kaiser (CultureWise) and Richard Kopelman (Aprio) discussing M&A and culture integration. Speakers and agenda will be updated on as they become finalized, and will include a panel of Managing Partners and a panel of Chief HR / People Officers.

The 2023 Winning Ways Conference takes place on November 14 and 15, 2023, at the Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel. This exclusive opportunity is available to only 100 firm leaders who are seeking insights, tools, and resources for implementing an award-winning culture, while networking with colleagues from around the country.

Koltin Consulting and Winding River Consulting designed Winning Ways for leaders to address a new contemporary topic annually that is impacting the profession and modern firms. The conference features more than 9 hours of executive-level content. Due to the limited capacity at the event, tickets are required and available on a first come, first-served basis. register now at
