OUR CULTURE

A team built on trust and impact.

At Winding River Consulting, culture is more than what happens inside the firm — it's how we think, collaborate, and lead. Our team is made up of people who take ownership, ask thoughtful questions, and care deeply about the success of others.

We work in an environment that values trust, clarity, and collaboration. Everyone contributes. Ideas are discussed openly, refined together, and respected. Progress moves quickly because we rely on one another to follow through and bring our best thinking to every challenge.

Our culture is built on curiosity and momentum. It's professional and high-performing, but also supportive, flexible, and human. People join us because they want to grow — and they stay because they know their work makes a difference.

I joined Winding River because it's a community of leaders who think boldly about the future of our profession. It's a place where growth isn't accidental — it's engineered with intention. The firm's spirit aligns with my own belief that success in professional services today requires more than technical excellence; it demands curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to challenge the status quo. Together, we're shaping what's next.

The Role

Winding River Consulting is looking for a Marketing Leader to own and advance our marketing efforts while also supporting the execution of select client engagements.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can move between strategy and execution. You will own WRC's content strategy, campaigns, partnerships, marketing calendar, and day-to-day marketing initiatives while coordinating internal subject matter experts, contractors, vendors, and external partners.

You will also bring strong project management skills to our client work, helping our consulting teams organize engagements, maintain momentum, coordinate deliverables, and create a strong client experience.

WRC works primarily with accounting and professional services firms, so this role offers an opportunity to build deep knowledge and visibility within a rapidly changing industry.

What You'll Own

Marketing & Content

  • Own and execute WRC's overall marketing calendar and content strategy, in partnership with our events marketing manager.
  • Develop, write, edit, or coordinate (outsource) content including articles, research, email campaigns, social media, presentations, webinars, and other thought leadership.
  • Turn the expertise and ideas of WRC's consultants into relevant, compelling market-facing content.
  • Plan and execute campaigns supporting WRC services, events, programs, and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage WRC's presence across key digital channels, including the website, email marketing, CRM, and social media.
  • Manage outside writers, designers, contractors, agencies, and other marketing vendors as needed.

Partnerships & Market Presence

  • Support and manage WRC's relationships with industry associations, alliances, strategic partners, and vendors.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen WRC's visibility and relationships within the accounting profession.
  • Coordinate sponsorships, association activities, webinars, events, and other partnership initiatives.
  • Help ensure WRC is consistently visible in the markets and communities that matter to our clients.

Project Management

  • Support selected client engagements by helping organize workplans, timelines, meetings, deliverables, and follow-up.
  • Work closely with WRC consultants to keep projects moving and ensure commitments are completed.
  • Coordinate information and communication between internal team members and clients.
  • Maintain project plans and workflows in Monday.com.
  • Help create a consistent, organized, and professional client experience.

What We're Looking For

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in marketing, project management, professional services, or a related role.
  • Strong writing, editing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to own projects from idea through execution.
  • Experience developing and executing content and marketing campaigns.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working directly with senior executives, consultants, clients, contractors, and external partners.
  • Ability to operate independently in an entrepreneurial environment without requiring a large team or extensive infrastructure.
  • Experience with HubSpot and Monday.com is preferred.
  • Experience in accounting, professional services, B2B consulting, or another relationship-driven industry is a plus.

To apply please send your resumé to David Toth @ dtoth@windingriverconsulting.com and reference this listing.
